A different texture from paintings
▪️Frame Color Purchased: White
▪️Reason for Purchase:
I love kimono and often use items like obi sashes and kimono fabrics as placemats or table runners.
I've actually framed one of my obi sashes before, but I bought this frame because it allows me to enjoy displaying my obi without cutting it.
(I also purchased a set because I liked the included obi.)
Obi sashes have a different texture than paintings, and when I tell guests it's an obi, they're surprised but always compliment it. I display various items, but I especially love the unique, rare texture and color of the obi I bought in this set.

Gifts for friends overseas
▪️Purchased Item: Frame for Displaying Obi Sashes Without Cutting Them (For Men)
▪️Matte Color: White
▪️Reason for Purchase:
An overseas friend I used to work with is visiting Tokyo after a long time, so I bought this as a gift to give him.
A one-of-a-kind special item
When I told him it was an obi for dancing, he was delighted and later sent me a photo of it displayed in his home after returning to her country.
My friend is a Japanophile who already owns various Japanese items and furnishings, but he said, “I'm so happy I can naturally display a real obi.” I was thrilled that I could give his something unique and that he was so pleased with it.

Accent for the new room
▪️Frame Color Purchased: White
▪️Reason for Purchase:
I recently moved and was looking for art to accent my new home. When I found this, I remembered the large number of kimonos and obi belts stored away at my parents' house. It seemed like it would be fun to display them, so I decided to buy it.
Without worrying about the rules
The picture frame arrived quickly, so I brought over some obi sashes I've always liked and others that seemed perfect for display from my parents' house.
When wearing an obi as part of a kimono ensemble, you follow the rules of traditional Japanese dress—matching the kimono, considering the occasion, and so on. But when displaying them, it's fun to choose an obi based on my mood, picking one with my favorite colors or patterns.
I plan to go back and collect the many more obi still stored at my parents' house.
